15-Minute Cleaning/Decluttering Habits Campaign – Entryway

Welcome to the final week of our 15-Minute Decluttering & Cleaning Habits Campaign! Over the past several weeks, we’ve taken small, consistent steps to bring order and peace into every part of our home. We’ve used our 15-minute checklists to organize and tidy up our spaces each evening in order to wake up to a clean home in the mornings.

For our final week, we’re focusing on a space that sets the tone for everything else — the entryway.

Your entryway is the first area you see when you walk in and the last one you see when you leave. It should greet you (and your guests) with warmth, calm, and a sense of “welcome home.”

🌿 Why the Entryway Matters

The entryway might be small, but it makes a big impression. A cluttered one can make your home feel chaotic before you’ve even stepped inside, while a tidy one instantly feels peaceful.

This week, we’ll focus on quick, intentional habits that will help you maintain a welcoming and organized entrance — all in just 15 minutes a day.

🌿 15-Minute Entryway Habits

  1. Declutter Drop Zones (5 minutes)
  • Clear out shoes, coats, and bags that don’t belong.
  • Keep only everyday essentials within reach.
  • Add a basket or bin for quick drop-offs that you can sort weekly.
  1. Wipe & Refresh (4 minutes)
  • Wipe down door handles, light switches, and any console surfaces.
  • Shake out the rug and give the floor a quick sweep or vacuum.

  1. Create a “Welcome” Moment (3 minutes)
  • Add a candle, a small vase of seasonal flowers, or a simple decorative sign.
  • A pleasant scent or visual touch makes the space feel cared for and intentional.
  1. Reset Each Evening (3 minutes)
  • Before bed, do a quick scan: hang up coats, straighten shoes, and reset your drop zone.
  • Tomorrow morning will feel calmer and more organized.

🌿 A Thought for the Heart

“Let all things be done decently and in order.” — 1 Corinthians 14:40

Order brings peace, not perfection. By caring for your home in small, meaningful ways, you’re also caring for your heart and family.

🌿 Reflection

Take a moment this week to look back over the last six weeks. Think about how far you’ve come — not just in your home, but in your mindset. Small, daily habits truly do create lasting change.

You’ve built a foundation for a cleaner, calmer, and more intentional home — one 15-minute session at a time.
