Upcycle Using Only PaintÂ
This is a paint project and I am loving the new look. This just goes to show that you can make very big changes with just a little paint.Â
I painted a table that has been around since my grandparents were first married and is still making it today because of the use of paint. I enjoyed this Table Upcycle Using Only Paint.

As you can see the table’s last life was a bright, bright yellow and I thought it was time to tone it down for a more modern farmhouse look.
Now for the clean new look
.
This was after two coats of Dixie Belle paint in the color drop cloth. It is great coverage and the look is so clean and light.
Once the legs and skirt of the table were dry, I painted the top in hurricane grey. I added two coats of grey as well.
Once the second coat of grey was dry, I added my stencil.
The No. 7 part of the stencil is one I’ve had laying around for a while. Actually, it’s part of a much larger stencil that happened to have the No. 7 as part of the larger stencil. The wreath stencil is from Dixie Belle and will be part of the giveaway package for one lucky winner. I’ll tell you more about the give away later in the post.

The paint dries to a hard and protective finish and once sealed with the clear coat is practically indestructible.
After the finishing touches, I think the little table that could, actually looks pretty good. This little table has been with me for a very, very long time and has been several different colors over the years. It is so old, I’m thinking it is all of the different paints that hold it together. 😊
You can see more of the process here because I have uploaded a video of the complete process. You can find my YouTube channel here. Please pop over and subscribe, like, share, and give the video a  thumbs up.
What do you think? Do you like the color combination? Would you use these paint colors? What about the stencil, do you think it fits the table?

Thank you Nikki. I am glad you liked it. 🙂
What a lovely little table. I admire these types of projects in which you see beauty from something not so pretty.
Hi Elise,
This little wobbly table means a lot to me and has changed so many times over the years. Because it belonged to my grandparents, I will keep it and change it up to suit my style for as long as it will allow me to without breaking. 🙂 Thank you and I’m happy you enjoyed the project.
Beautiful!! What a great transformation!!! Thanks so much for stopping by!!
Hugs,
Debbie
Thank you Debbie. Have a great week. XO
Clearissa that is one pretty table. I love the colors you chose for it especially the top gray. You really had me laughing when you said it must be the paint holding it together, I think I have a few of those too!
Hi Mary,
I am so happy you stopped by and that you like my little table. Let me tell you, that little table is a million years old and it is not very expensive. But it means a lot to me because it belonged to my grandparents. I just hope the paint continues to hold it together. 🙂 It has been through several color changes with me as well.
I love your DYI I enjoy that little table that was really cute. I have some things that’s been passed down to me], ]that I’m getting ready to do UPGRADE.I’m excited about them. thank you for sharing with us
Hi Elizabeth, Good luck with your upcycling projects. It is fun and it is nice to keep those family heirlooms whether they are expensive or not. 🙂 Mine is not an expensive table, but it means the world to me. Thank you for stopping by. Please come back again. I am always adding new projects. 🙂
Very nice!! I love the colors, and yes, I would use those colors together. I’m kinda on a grey kick right now anyway! Lol I don’t think I’ve heard of Dixie Bell paint before, is it an expensive brand or fairly reasonable?
Hi Kimberly, Thank you for stopping by. I am on a gray and white or off-white kick right now too. I want to have my whole house repainted. It’s starting to look a bit dated to me. 🙂 About Dixie Bell. It is not as expensive as Annie Sloan but it’s not as inexpensive as the Walmart brands either so I would say it is fairly reasonable. It does have great coverage. Again, thanks for stopping in. I hope you will again.
