Christmas On Bay Drive

Christmas on Bay Drive

I decided to decorate a bit less for the holidays this year. I don’t know why perhaps I am just pairing down and keeping it simple. It also did not help that I had a bout with the flu this past week as well. That week out of commission put me way behind schedule. But I think I may like the less is more effect this year. Join me for Christmas on Bay Drive.

Christmas 2016

I used a simple teardrop wreath and added the gold and red bow for a bit of bling.

Christmas 2016I also added a matching gold and red bow to the lamp post. If you look closely you can see my roses are still blooming. I think they are confused and think it’s spring. 🙂 Roses and Christmas lights…go figure.

The lighted present and the upcycled lighted Christmas jar both adorn my entry table. I am proud of the Chrismas jar as it is from my upcoming craft boutique.

I have fallen in love with snow doves.

Christmas 2016

I’ve had these Christmas booties for many years. I just love them.

Christmas 2016This is part of the vignette on my coffee table. This little candle lamp is gorgeous when lit. I use the little battery operated tea light candles.

My table is basic and neutral for the most part. However, I have tossed a few red baubles for a pop of color.

This is one of my favorite pieces of art. It’s called stepping out on faith. It happens to be on the wall adjacent to the Christmas tree. I love the way the lights from the tree are reflected in the glass. I wish the picture wasn’t so muted and you could get the full effect.

Well, that’s Christmas on Bay. Not as much color as last year but festive and cozy in a subdued sort of way. Enjoy your holiday.

Everything is so lovely. My first thought when I saw the candy cane filled booties is there is no way they would last a day with my 8 year old. 🙂

    Hi Audrey,

Thank you. I’m so glad you enjoy everything. I have a 4 year old grandson and believe me, I have an extra stash of candy canes because he loves to pull them off the tree and from the booties. So I just keep refilling. 🙂 Thank you for stopping by.

Very pretty! My yard is covered in snow right now so I am smiling at your confused roses….lol I think I have those same dishes, they look wonderful on your table.

    Merry Christmas!

Hi Christine. It was 17 degrees this morning and those roses are still hanging on. I just don’t know what to say about them anymore. I just love these dishes. I got mine from Homegoods last year this time. a you can see, I like an eclectic table setting, so I did not get the entire set. Now that I look at them I wish I had. That would have given me all sorts of mix n match opportunities. Stay tuned for more of the rose saga. 🙂

Thank you Donna. I didn’t do as much this year as last and it turned out okay. I love snow doves as well. I have enough collections but I don’t think it would hurt to have a few more snow doves around? Do you? 🙂 From my family to yours…Merry Christmas and a peaceful new year.
