Seafood Melody

I am sharing one of my newly tried and now, favorite recipes – I have dubbed it My Seafood Melody. My family and I are seafood lovers and we have had a variation of this recipe at various restaurants. However, seafood dishes can be fairly expensive, sooo I thought I would try something new that I could make at home to compete and calm the seafood craving. The key to this recipe is that it is quick and easy and I promise you, if your family loves seafood the way that mine does, they will love this! If you try it…let me know if your family enjoys it. I’ve seen both my husband and my daughter do the “good food” dance over this dish. Oh the “good food” dance is a family tradition. Shhhh next time I will try to video them performing the infamous “good food” dance and share it with you. 🙂

Ingredients:

1 packs frozen large shrimp

1 packs frozen scallops

1 pack crab meat (imitation will suffice but prefer authentic)

½ box Fettuccine Pasta

2 jars Alfredo Sauce (Your choice of brands-I prefer the Botolli brand)

1 tsp oregano

1 tsp basil

1 tsp garlic pepper

½ cup of olive oil

½ tsp salt

Season Salt

Black Pepper

Optional: Fresh or canned Mushrooms and/or fresh scallions

Instructions:

Clean shrimp & scallops

Rinse crabmeat

Fill large pot with water

Add ½ of the olive oil and put remaining aside

Add ½ tsp salt

Add clean shrimp, scallops and crabmeat and boil for 15 minutes

Sauce:

In a separate sauce pan, add 2 jars of Alfredo sauce

Add:      1/2 tsp oregano

1 /2tsp basil

1/2 tsp garlic pepper

Season Salt to taste

Black Pepper to taste

Simmer on low for 30 minutes

Strain shrimp, scallops and crabmeat and add to pasta sauce

Simmer an additional 30 minutes

Stir regularly to avoid sticking

Pasta:

In a large sauce pan

add water & remaining olive oil, & and 1/2 tsp salt (hint: I normally save the water used to boil the seafood. It give your pasta an amazing flavor)

bring to a boil

add fetuccinni pasta

allow to boil until tender

Strain pasta and place into a bowl

Pulling  it all together:

Add seafood melody w/sauce to strained pasta

Toss and serve

I generally serve with steamed spinach & toasted French or garlic bread

Yum Yum eat em up!

Thanks for stopping by Lorene. I need to do and will in the few minutes, an update. I forgot to add the mushrooms/optional and scallions/optional and garlic powder/not optional. But it is good without any of those, but they are options. 🙂 Stop by again!
