I am running a little late with the weekly catch up. It was “Grammy” weekend and that took precedence. But I’m here now. I realize all of you grandmothers understand. Another week has passed and I met my goal of posting three articles. If you missed any of this week’s posts, you can catch up with this week’s recap.
As I have promised you and myself, one of my goals for this year is to write at least three blogs each week, and I think the weekly recap will help to hold me accountable. Heey I’m Back!!!! Did you miss me? I hope so! I took last week off which means I did not do anything business related. And for those of you who blog/upcycle/DIY, etc. you realize how taking a few days off can totally change your rhythm. Consistency is the key to successful blogging/upcycling/DIY, etc. But every now and then, we need to take a day or two or five off to rejuvenate and to avoid burn-out. A week and a half ago I had a successful thrifting trip and during that trip I picked up a leather chair that has seen better days. Looks sort of rough huh? Well I saw the potential and for $24.95 and a leather chair with nail head trim for that price…I couldn’t pass it up. I brought it home and at first I just stared at it and wondered if I had made a mistake. It was too late to turn back now. I gathered my supplies and began the upcycle process. Truth be told, I have always envied people who coupon seriously. All of the fantastic stories of going shopping and actually making money have always intrigued me. But in the past, I was always that person who cut coupons on Sunday and forgot about them on Monday. I never looked at them again until I was hit with the desire to become a master couponer again. Yes, I made up the word.
