Thank you all for showing up every week and for following my projects. I wish I could explain to you how appreciated you are. In the meantime, please enjoy my posts for the last couple of weeks. So let’s get started with our round-up for September 30 – October 16, 2015.
Tool Caddy Turned Cleaning Caddy…What a Good Idea
Posted on
My husband and I were in Sears to pick up a filter for the refrigerator water system a while back…they are expensive! While walking through the store, I happened upon a tool caddy and it was on sale for $9.99. Well, the water filter was triple that cost – Ugghhh! And you know I’m all about the bargain! I did not need a tool caddy, but it caught my eye and because of the bargain price…I lingered. The issue was finding a way to put the caddy to good use. Then I had a light- bulb moment. Isn’t that what we re-designers and organizers do?
This caddy would be perfect for my cleaning supplies. How nice it would be to have all of my cleaning supplies in one easy to carry caddy. The caddy was offered in several colors. Pink, which I absolutely loved; blue and green which did not speak to me; and black which I bought. I know you’re asking; if you loved the pink why did you buy black. Read the entire article here.

Important throw-back Thursday information…always relevant.
Many think in order to achieve healthy skin, you need to spend lots of cash at the expensive spas for designer products or at department store counters where the objective is to sell, sell, sell no matter what’s best for the consumer. Others believe that if the latest “House Wife of whichever show is popular now,” is not promoting it, it’s not good skin care. And the most dangerous myth is the one that some cater to, which is if your skin is bad, you can simply cover it up with make-up. That one is my true pet peeve and oh so wrong. If you get nothing else from this article, get this…all skin has occasional issues; however the resolution to this issue is never, ever, ever, never the answer! Unless you have a medical issue, the key to good skin is clean and healthy skin. Read the entire tutorial here.

The end of last week and the weekend were scary times in our area. I live on the east coast and by Friday we had had eleven straight days of substantial rain and we were forecasted to receive 5 – 11 inches more over the week. High winds were also expected. The winds were predicted to be anywhere between 15 – 30 mph sustained with gusts up to 45 mph. The problem and impending danger from the winds was the fact that the ground was already so wet from the past 11 days of rain, the fear of trees and power lines coming down was imminent. Not that that wasn’t enough doom and gloom to contend with, there was also the threat that we could also feel the effects of hurricane Joaquin. Our governor declared a state of emergency on Friday and the rain just kept falling. Get all the details and a list of items needed to prepare for an emergency here. This is a must read.
